Sothea (our guide) and Marco (our driver) could not have done more to make our local eating experience more educational and enjoying. We visited local restaurants where Sothea selected a variety of dishes, a local rice wine producer, and an authentic Cambodian market where we experienced local life and entertainment. Both our guide and driver were so friendly and accommodating to our requests, and they had great communication skills and a wonderful sense of humour. Highly recommend this activity!
We have been on other bike tours and we found this to be especially good due to the longer distance travelled on bike and the variety of locations visited. San, Vyth and Thoen really looked after us (a group of 6) during our tour of the Cambodian countryside and we found it fun, informative and exciting roaming the beautiful scenery seeing the local people and attending a local market trying the exotic fruits. We would definitely recommend this tour for experienced and inexperienced cyclists alike.
Bike the Angkor Wat Sunrise, A fantastic experience to visit the temples highlights of Angkor complex. We chose this tour on advice of our friend and were not disappointed at all. We were picked up at 4.30am and driven to watch sunrise at Angkor Wat. our tour guide – Soksan – filled the time entertaining us with historical information and made this a personalise experience. Next we were given a delicious breakfasts before starting our cycle tour to Angkor Thom & Ta Prom temples through the forest with stunning views over the river. The tour finished with included lunch and “Saksan” took us back to the hotel by 2pm.
This is a great way to see the temples, as you pass by other ruins and countryside sights not seen via cars. The pace is well planned by the tour guide with lots of rest points (including free snacks) and not too strenuous cycle during the hottest part of the day. Highly recommended!
I had Ms. Sreyleak as my guide on this tour. She was a delight to b2e around and provided me with useful information on the culture in the countryside. She was very accommodating and her English was superb.
I also found Siem Reaper support locals and try to be sustainable in their tours which is a plus.. I recommend this tour if you want to get away from the tourist areas and see what life is like for others in the country side. I also enjoyed cooking at a local homestay.
Every person we met through this tour was genuine and wonderful. My sister and I were welcomed with a lot of warmth and generosity. The highlight of our stay in Siem Reap was the bike tour and our conversations with everyone at Siem Reapers. San and Thun really cared for our well-being as we biked along the roads and gave us a lot of insight to the local Cambodian culture. We were well-fed, eating at the local market and experiencing authentic Cambodian cuisine. Furthermore, we learned a lot about each other and learned about how great the Siem Reapers give back to the community through their tours. There’s a genuine sense of community and support and a strong mission to give back to their people and the future generation. It was an unforgettable experience and we really hope we can come back to Cambodia and also give back when we return home to the States.
