great cycle to the floating village!

The pace of the cycle tour is excellent! Along the way from Downtown Siem Reap, we went to a mushroom farm, tried rice wine, went to an older pagoda and finally enjoyed lunch. After relaxing in a hammock for an hour, we headed to the floating village. The tour is excellent and you can opt to stay and watch the sunset. Definitely the way to enjoy the floating village and see the countryside of Siem Reap.

Anyone who wants a lovely guide and a nice bike tour around should do this tour! We saw so many amazing things and Leap and Maco were always so helpful and accommodating. We stopped several times to see different things and every time Maco was there to provide cold water and fruit. The bike ride is pretty easy and comfortable to do because it was mainly on flat roads and the sights that we saw in the village were very unique. We even cycled past Leap’s house as he lived there. It was just an amazing tour and we had an amazing time and would recommend it to anyone who wants to do a little bit of exercise and see some non-touristy places.

We had an amazing time on this bike tour. Our guide Ly was super friendly and had a great sense of humor. The biking was definitely pretty tiring, but Ly made sure we were always stocked on water and were doing okay. I did this tour with two of my friends and we definitely bonded over the physical exercise. It was really cool to see the villages and the ways the local people lived as we cycled through the countryside, and it was incredibly rewarding to finish off the day with a boat ride into the middle of the lake to watch the sunset.

I had a wonderful day with Lee and fully recommend the day. He was funny, knowledgable and above all else, had integrity. I experienced a number of different things I wouldn’t have been able to had he not been there, from different foods and drinks to meeting people at a school or getting an insight into Cambodian history. Fully recommended.

What a day this was. George was such a great host, he really look after us and made the day so special. The cycle was in total 37 KM, the heat made the first half a bit of a struggle so we were running behind schedule for lunch, George could see that we were struggling so adapted the day with out an issue. We stayed at a friend of his home and relaxed on hammocks and met the most welcoming, lovely family, whilst George went to collect our lunch and bring it to us. The day was topped off by catching a boat ride to the floating village and watching a beautiful sunset with beer in hand and George’s friendly and warm company. If you’re visiting Siem Reap this is a must do tour. Enjoy. Thank you so much again George, we had the best day :)) And just to add that Marco the company’s Tuk tuk driver was also great, he picked us up on time from our hostel and took great care of us. He took us to the floating village and also dropped us back to our hostel, always with a big smile on his face. Thank you for being lovely and looking after us Marco 🙂
