This tour exceeded our expectations! We ended up going on two tours instead of one. For our first tour, we did the Angkor Sunrise Tour: 4 temples + the death gate on bike. Though it was warm, there’s a nice breeze and I felt safer than I would on a moto. Our tour also included a short drive through the village, where we were able to see local farmers and children going about their day.
For our second tour, we took an AC car to Kullen Mountain to see the waterfalls, 10,000 Lingas, Big Buddha, and Beng Mealea. Not only were we able to go swimming, but we also heard traditional Cambodian music and visited a ‘Hollywood Temple’. This temple hasn’t undergone full restoration, so there’s amazing trees and roots all about.
Our tour guide was very professional and was actually a monk earlier in life at the temples. This gave him an absurd amount of knowledge about the temples, Buddhism, Hinduism, and of course Cambodian daily life. Ask for Prathna (or Mr. Brown) for your guide!
