Follow the footpaths of the Angkor trails, passing the ancient ruined temples, and breathe in the pure jungle air of the Angkor Wat complex. You will come away from this beautiful trek with plenty of memorable moments.
The trek follows the peaceful single tracks to explore the main temples such as Angkor Wat, Bayon temple, Death Gate, Ta Prohm, Ta Nei temple, you will also have the opportunity to see the wildlife in the jungle.
You will start by taking a short transfer to the entrance of the first temple located at the East Entrance of Angkor Wat. You will set out like the first explorers did on foot, trekking through the dense jungle of magnificent temples of Angkor complex. Walking from temple to temple is a unique way to see these stunning ruins.
After a few kilometres, you will reach Angkor Thom, the last capital of the great Khmer empire, and walk through the gate of Angkor Thom to visit the jungle covered temple.
Continue on foot to Bayon temple, the centre of the city. Your experienced guide will take a lead in the central complex, to reveal a unique history of this last capital city. After you will head out to the Death Gate and to explore the hidden temple of Ta Nei temple.
Finish the walk and drive to visit Ta Prohm temple which is unique, as it has been left as it was found – overgrown by jungle trees and vines, with many parts of the temple crumbling to the ground.
At the end of the tour, you will have lunch at the local restaurant before being transferred back to town.
Dress code: Cambodia is a conservative country, especially when you visit the main temple, Angkor Wat, we would like all of the participants to wear clothing that covers shoulder and knees, due to the cultural respected.
What to bring: Camera, sunscreen, sunglasses, mosquito repellent, wear comfortable walking shoes, small backpack, etc.
