General Booking and Conditions
Please read and accept these booking conditions carefully before booking your activity with Siem Reaper Travel. These booking conditions will tell you how to use our booking policy on the website in order to book the activity with Siem Reaper Travel.
1. Booking/payment of the travel price
1.1. Registration takes place on the basis of the service descriptions listed in the catalog or on the website. You can register for a trip in writing or online.
1.2. With the travel registration/booking, the customer offers SIEM REAPER TRAVEL the conclusion of the travel contract. The traveler is bound to the travel registration for 10 days. The travel contract comes with the confirmation – this does not require any specific form – of SIEM REAPER TRAVEL. A written copy of the booking confirmation (= invoice) will be sent on or immediately after the contract is concluded.
1.3. The booking of a trip and other tours with SIEM REAPER TRAVEL is confirmed within 48 hours upon receiving confirmation. The booking confirmation includes all the reservations: hotels, restaurants and transportation, tour guide, and other items included in the tours. A 20% deposit is required to secure your booking, with the remainder of the balance due 14 days before departure. If your departure date is less than 14 days away, the full amount will be requested.
1.4. When making a bank transfer, the customer must ensure that bank charges are borne by the customer in the customer’s country.
1.5. When booking at least six people at the same time, we grant the SIEM REAPER TRAVEL group discount of 5 – 10% on the basic tour price. Group discounts also apply to bonus tours. The prerequisite is a joint registration and invoicing as well as payment of the total travel price in two installments (down payment and final payment). If you pay in more than 2 installments (excluding short-term services), the group discount will lapse.
2. Cancellation – replacement participant – rebooking
2.1. The customer can withdraw from the contract at any time before departure. The resignation has to be written. In the event of cancellation or no-show, the following cancellation fees are due from the travel price:
- Up to 30 days before departure: 20% of the total balance
- 15 to 29 days before departure: 30% of the total balance
- 7 to 14 days before departure: 60% of the total balance
- 6 days or fewer before departure: 100% of the total balance
2.2. The customer’s change requests regarding participants, accommodation, type of catering or similar are possible up to 28 days before the start of the trip for a change fee of USD 50 per change process. A rebooking by the customer on a different trip or a different date is only possible in the form of cancellation (according to the cancellation conditions in section a) and a subsequent rebooking.
2.3. If the traveler does not take advantage of a single travel service as a result of early return travel due to illness or for other reasons for which SIEM REAPER TRAVEL is not responsible, the traveler is not entitled to proportional reimbursement.
2.4. If an accommodation becomes a single use due to the cancellation of a travel participant, the canceling travel participant will be charged the cancellation costs (according to item 2) according to the above-mentioned cancellation rates, but at least a flat-rate compensation of USD 150. For the conversion of the booking to individual accommodation, the remaining travel participant will be charged the regular surcharge for individual accommodation. The organizer reserves the right to change the accommodation according to the occupancy.
3. Cancellation and termination by SIEM REAPER TRAVEL
3.1. If a trip is canceled for reasons that we cannot influence (strike, natural disasters, etc.) or if the stated minimum number of participants is not reached during a trip, SIEM REAPER TRAVEL can withdraw from the travel contract in accordance with the following provisions.
3.2. SIEM REAPER TRAVEL is obliged to immediately notify the traveler of the cancellation of the trip if it is certain that the trip cannot be carried out for the reasons mentioned above.
3.3. If a trip is not carried out due to the minimum number of participants not being reached, SIEM REAPER TRAVEL is obliged to notify the traveler at least three weeks before the start of the trip.
3.4. Payments made will be refunded immediately. There are no further claims, in particular for reimbursement of cancellation costs for hotel already booked, other tickets, tour guide, transportation, etc.
4. Services and prices
4.1. SIEM REAPER TRAVEL’s obligation to perform arises from the content of the booking confirmation in conjunction with the catalog or travel advertisement valid for the time of the trip, in accordance with all the information and explanations contained therein, and includes individual agreements.
4.2. Follow-up transport by train/bus/plane must be organized or booked by the customer. Upon request, SIEM REAPER TRAVEL is ready to arrange appropriate transportation.
4.3. The decisive factor for all discounts that result from the age of the customer is the age on the day of travel.
5. Changes to contract content before the start of the trip that does not affect the travel price
5.1. Deviations of essential characteristics of travel services from the agreed content of the travel contract, which become necessary after the conclusion of the contract and which SIEM REAPER TRAVEL did not bring about in good faith, are permitted to SIEM REAPER TRAVEL before the start of the trip, insofar as the deviations are insignificant and Do not affect the overall layout of the trip. Changes include e.g. B. Rebooking to an identical ship of the shipowner, changes in travel times and/or routes for river trips, which can occur in the event of an unpredictable flood or low water (safety or weather reasons), the total or partial failure of Sections, or the implementation of sections by other means of transport, the elimination or changes in excursion programs.
5.2. Any warranty claims remain unaffected insofar as the changed services are defective. SIEM REAPER TRAVEL is obliged to inform the customer immediately of any deviations in performance. In the event of significant changes to the travel services from the agreed content of the travel contract before the start of the trip, the customer is entitled to withdraw from the contract. The customer must assert this withdrawal immediately after the declaration by SIEM REAPER TRAVEL.
5.3. SIEM REAPER TRAVEL can increase the travel price in accordance with the following calculation if the transport costs, in particular the fuel costs, at the conclusion of the travel contract increase:
a) In the case of an increase related to the seat, SIEM REAPER TRAVEL can demand an increasing amount from the customer.
b) In other cases, the additional transport costs required by the carrier for each means of transport are divided by the number of seats of the agreed means of transport. SIEM REAPER TRAVEL can request the resulting amount for the single seat from the customer.
5.4. If the taxes such as taxes, port or airport fees towards SIEM REAPER TRAVEL are increased upon conclusion of the travel contract, the travel price can be increased by the corresponding proportionate amount.
5.5. An increase is only permissible if there are more than four months between the conclusion of the contract and the agreed travel date and the circumstances leading to the increase had not occurred before the conclusion of the contract and were not foreseeable for SIEM REAPER TRAVEL when the contract was concluded. In the event of a subsequent change in the travel price, SIEM REAPER TRAVEL must inform the customer immediately. Price increases from the 20th day before the start of the trip are ineffective. In the event of price increases of more than 8%, the customer is entitled to withdraw from the travel contract without charges or to request participation in an at least equivalent trip if SIEM REAPER TRAVEL is able to offer such a trip from its offer at no additional cost to the customer.
5.6. SIEM REAPER TRAVEL is obliged to pass on price reductions to the customer if the above clauses are applied accordingly.
6. Liabilities
Clients who join our trips have to read through our liabilities below and will be asked to sign the form of understanding our liabilities upon arrival.
We are not responsible for any baggage or property lost during the tour with us. We advise that you do not wear jewels while walking or cycling on the street. Keep your camera in your backpack. Do not hold it while cycling.
SIEM REAPER TRAVEL is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or deaths that occur during the course of a trip with us. Clients who join the trip with us understand that they are willing to join the trip by themselves and at their own risk. Before the tour begins, we will brief you on safety and road conditions. Ensure you follow our guidelines and beware of the hazard.
If you, the client refuse to wear the helmet provided by SIEM REAPER TRAVEL, you will be responsible for any head injury. We ensure the bikes are in good condition and have reliable brakes. We provide all the spare parts, including puncture repair kits, and our guides are trained as mechanics. We try to take quiet roads, routes free of cars, where possible. If it is necessary to ride a bike on a busy road, make sure to be careful to avoid accidents and being hit by cars: go slowly, look carefully before turning or crossing roads, and stick well into the pavement.
7. Other
7.1. During the trip, you are liable for damage or loss of bicycles and equipment left to you. 7.2. The customer is responsible for compliance with all passport, visa, customs, and health regulations. 7.3. We reserve the right to change prices and services, as well as corrections of errors and misprints. 7.4. The ineffectiveness of individual provisions of the travel contract does not result in the ineffectiveness of the entire contract. 5.5. Place of jurisdiction is the location of the organizer.
